God is in Control

It’s important to remember that God is always in control, even though, at moments, things in the world may appear totally out of control. God is sovereign, and ultimately His plans and purposes will prevail.

Matthew 10:29-31 —Two sparrows are sold for a penny, aren’t they? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s permission. Indeed, even the hairs on your head have all been counted! So stop being afraid. You are worth more than a bunch of sparrows.

Isaiah 45:18 — For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Psalm 147:4-5 — He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

1 Samuel 2:8-9 — He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord‘s, and he hath set the world upon them. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
