Do not make the mistake of calling manipulation and control, discernment. Do not imagine that others are behaving evil, when there is simply no way that you could know the complete story. Wait. Pray. Don’t pass judgement. Don’t condemn. Strive to operate in the love of God and seek to know the truth. Determine to believe the best of everyone. Allow people room to be human and make mistakes.
Zechariah 8:16-17 — These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts; do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the Lord.
1 Corinthians 13:6-7 AMP — Love does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail].
