In the 1720’s, the Moravian church, established in Hernhut, Germany, started a prayer watch. Somehow, through the power of God, the watch continued on, non-stop (literally 24/7) for over 100 years, as members of the community took shifts in prayer, and passed the practice of prayer from generation to generation. That watch fueled one of the most supernatural moves of God in human history. But, when the watch stopped, the power went out.
Let a new hunger for prayer emerge from deep within you, and turn the power on in your situation. Prayer can birth ongoing communication with God and develop momentum that can drive heaven’s plans and purposes forward.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 — Pray without ceasing.
Philippians 4:6-7 — Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
