The Substance of Faith

God has measured out a gift to each of us. It’s called faith. If we treasure this faith, we can add to it and watch it grow. Faith allows us to move in the supernatural. Faith pleases God.

Hebrews 11:1 — Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Romans 12:3 — For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Romans 10:17 — Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:7 — For we live by faith, not by sight.

Hebrews 11:6 — And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
