Contrary to what many think, humility is not thinking less of yourself. It is merely thinking of yourself less. Humility requires self knowledge, self control and self esteem.
1 Peter 5:5 — Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Micah 6:8 — What has God told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Matthew 23:12 — Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Romans 14:13 — Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
