Ask God to inspire a generous spirit within you. Be open to sharing out of the energy, intelligence, joy, substance, imagination and love that you have been blessed with. From this place of generosity, you will see a pattern begin to form. As you bless others, you will be blessed, too.
2 Corinthians 9:7 — You should each give, then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly.
Proverbs 3:27 — Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
Deuteronomy 15:7-10 — If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be… because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.
Luke 6:38 — Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
