Favor to the Humble

Take on humility. Cloak yourself in it. Be open to the possibility of making a mistake. Humility is a moral compass. When it is lacking, you’re less likely to recognize your own potential for sin and error. God shows favor to the humble.

Matthew 18:4 — Whoever humbles himself and becomes like a little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Micha 6:8 — God has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

James 4:6 — But God gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

Isaiah 57:15 — For thus says the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

1Peter 5:6 — Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,
